Physical Therapists
Janice Bealer, MScPT
Janice has been a physical therapist serving the west end of Edmonton for the past 7 years. She graduated from the University of Alberta in the first Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy program. She has a keen interest in acupuncture and dry needling and is also certified in spinal manipulation. Janice enjoys running and playing ball hockey, and hence, is interested in treating injuries associated with these sports.
Alison Boudreau, MScPT
Alison was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She graduated from Dalhousie University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then moved to Edmonton to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta; graduating in 2009. In addition to her interest in orthopedics, she has a keen interest in neurological physical therapy and also works at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Alison is certified in acupuncture and has her Level 1 manual therapy certificate. She is dedicated to completing continuing education courses to gain new skills and increase her knowledge base. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, swimming, and being outdoors (preferably when the weather is warm).
Gail Hamilton, DIP
Gail graduated from the University of Alberta in 1973 and has been practicing hand physical therapy for the past 32 years. She became certified as a hand therapist with the American Society of Hand Therapists in 1991. Having owned and operated Laurier Physical Therapy for 25 years, she continues to have a very specific interest in hand and upper extremity therapy.
Denise Nelson, BScPT
Denise has been a physical therapist serving the West end for over 20 years. Her extensive knowledge due to her experience and her upbeat and positive personality made her a favorite with clients at our Callingwood location. After taking a hiatus to have 4 boys, we welcome her to our Grange location.
Sudharshan Sundararajan, MPT (Ortho)
Sudharshan has an undergraduate degree in physical therapy and a Masters in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. He started his career in Canada in 2001, working with a variety of clients in a rural hospital, eventually shifting to private practice in 2007. He has also incorporated acupuncture and dry needling into his practice since 2004.
Massage Therapists
Cindy Bacchus, RMT
We are glad to have Cindy on our team again, as she worked with us a number of years ago at our Callingwood location. Cindy has 12 years of experience as a massage therapist. She recently became one of the few massage therapists in Edmonton specifically trained in Shiatsu Therapy to treat migraines and headaches. Cindy also has considerable experience in treating motor vehicle accident clients and performing sports massage as she was a massage therapist for the Edmonton Eskimos.
Terra Belanger, RMT
Terra is the newest member to our massage team. She is currently taking additional training in sports massage therapy and athletic exercise training. She performs therapeutic, deep tissue, and relaxation massage.
Rebecca McKinley, RMT
Rebecca has been a licensed and registered massage therapist for over 10 years. She studied under the Massage Therapy Program at the Wholistic Health Training & Research Centre. Rebecca is also a certified doula and her specialty is working with mothers and babies. Her goal is to create a foundation of health and balance for her clients through the use of both massage and craniosacral therapies.
Cassandra Navratil, RMT
Cassandra completed her massage therapy training at Lethbridge Community College in 2006. She has been trained in deep tissue, relaxation, pre- and post-natal, and labour/induction massage, as well as TMJ dysfunction treatments. She is also certified to instruct individuals and groups in the area of infant and pediatric massage.
